MEDIA POLICY
Life Science Discovery, LLC includes Life Science Discovery Events.
PRESS AND REQUIREMENTS
Life Science Discovery Events provides complimentary press registration to staff and working freelance journalists who wish to cover our meetings.
Life Science Discovery Events reserves the right to deny any access at any time and reserves right to view any media article, publication, video, photo or associated that is used about Life Science Discovery.
Certain Event locations might not allow any media presence onsite and is the media individuals responsibility to follow institution policies whether or not the Institution/Facility requires them to sign a formal agreement.
Life Science Discovery Events is not liable or responsible for any Media Outlet or individual, and will not be considered a vendor, and Media Outlet/Media individual assumes all liabilities, including onsite insurance.
Certain Life Science Discovery Events locations might require a Fee to attend. If a fee is required, Fee must be paid 14 days in advance, unless approved by Life Science Discovery Events Public Relations Team or Onsite Management.
Press who plan to register on site should bring the following:
Identification
Staff credentials
Assignment letters
Please note we cannot accept applications for media credentials from representatives of outlets that are not directly involved in journalism.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS OF MEDIA
The following individuals are eligible for press registration:
Reporters
Writers
Producers
Editors
Photographers and videographers with staff credentials
Freelancers with assignment letters from established, verifiable media outlets.
Credential requirements for eligible individuals
Newspapers
Magazines
Online news services
Wire services
Radio or Television networks and stations associated with established
All must be verifiable media outlets & approved by Life Science Discovery Events Management.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBLE MEDIA
Online news services or online outlets that provide daily or weekly coverage of technology, health and science.
Bloggers who frequently comment about Biotechnology, Life Science, Medical, Health, and Pharmaceutical will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Event hosting Institution
ADDITIONAL LIFE SCIENCE DISCOVERY REQUIRED APPROVAL
Any Writers, editors, and public relations professionals affiliated with exhibitors or independent must have Life Science Discovery Events Executive Approval by Life Science Discovery Events Public Relations Team.
Any investment firm, market analyst professional, industry analyst and public relations are required to contact Life Science Discovery Events and get approval from CEO.
Life Science Discovery CEO can be available upon request for interviews and company public relation related inquiries. Contact Life Science Discovery Events Public Relations Team for request.
THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR PRESS REGISTRATION
Any media outlet whom does not provide credentials or request approval from Life Science Discovery Public Relations Team.
EMBARGO GUIDELINES
All abstracts, posters, presentations and scientific sessions at any Event(s) by Life Science Discovery Events are embargoed until the “Date of Event” and “Start Time” of the presentation and require approval of presenter and Life Science Discovery Events Management.
This means that press registrants may not publish any information about work being presented at the meeting until the “Date of Event” and “Start Time” of the presentation, along with approval requirements.
By applying for press credentials, or attending an Event(s) by Life Science Discovery Events you automatically are agreeing to adhere to all embargoes.
MEDIA POLICY DURING PRESENTATIONS
The Life Science Discovery Events Media Policy applies to:
Traditional media (print, broadcast and web based)
New social media tools (blogs, Twitter, etc.)
Accredited journalists who are registered for the meeting and all other meeting attendees
All poster and oral presentations. This includes all presentations during any Event or Technical Workshop.
All Vendors and Attendees of Event(s) by Life Science Discovery Events
PRESENTATIONS
Unless otherwise stated by the presenter, reporting on content presented at this meeting is allowed, including by blogging or tweeting.
Presenters have the final say on whether the content of their presentations can be reported beyond the conference.
Presenters can opt-out on anyone reporting on either all or any portion of their presentations.
Photography of the content of presentations is not allowed without the consent of the presenter and Life Science Discovery Events Public Relations Team.
This includes photography of posters and of slides projected during oral presentations.
Presenters may opt-out by stating at the beginning or during their presentations that they do not give permission for all or specific parts of their presentations to be reported outside of the conference, including by blogging or tweeting.
